Evaluation.

i have photographed a delicate landscape, which also includes a small amount of wildlife. my final piece is a fantasy landscape, when doing this we were asked to take a series of photos including backgrounds/landscapes and close up images. when taking the close up images it was important that they were in focus otherwise the image would be less effective. Once we had taken the series of images, we had to pick one background and one item to create a final piece. the idea was to add an item or building to a background it does not belong in, without making it seem to unrealistic. in my image, i added a sign post and a tower. i think i blended them both very well and made it look very realistic. i had a few attempts at this, including ducks and flowers but found that the tower and post worked better against the background.  The obvious computer soft ware was photoshop, this was really help and i used alot of newly learnt tools including;
magnetic lasso tool- which helped me to cut out both items
quick mask mode- which was an accurate and easy way to get a perfect object with any unwanted background or items.
i came across a few problems such as blurry items did not look realistic against the background, or i was not happy with the outcome. but after settling down on my final background i found it easy to choose items to fit it. i think that i have chosen the items well and that they do not look to obvious, if not at all.
Seung Woo back is my main influence in this project, i really enjoy her work and think it is very creative. i tried to base my photograph around her work and her unusual ideas. even though my image is not as interesting as Woo Back's i am still very please with my final image. I feel that i have done very well in creating a Fantasy landscape. however if i was to re-do this project, i would have like to do something more fun or have a better focused item to use.
